DIABLO BAMBOO FAQs
1. How far can I actually ride it on a single charge?
Up to 80 km on street wheels, or around 50 km on all-terrain. Real-world range sits lower depending on your weight, terrain, speed mode, and hills.
2. How fast does it go?
50 km/h top speed, same as the Carbon. It's quick. More than enough for commuting or carving around the city.
3. What's the difference between the Bamboo and the Carbon?
Mainly deck material and feel. Bamboo has natural flex, which gives a softer, more surf-like ride. Carbon is completely rigid, which means sharper response and a lighter board. The Carbon is also 1 kg lighter. Same battery, motors, and speed across both.
4. Is it too heavy to carry around?
It weighs 14.1 kg, which is heavier than a regular longboard. Most riders carry it short distances without issue, but you won't want to lug it up multiple flights of stairs every day.
5. Can it handle hills?
Yes. 45%+ gradient rating. Dual 6374 motors, 7000W total. It handles steep hills without breaking a sweat.
6. Can I ride it in the rain?
No. Evolve boards are not waterproof. They have some splash resistance, but riding in wet conditions risks damage that isn't covered under warranty. Keep it dry.
7. Which version should I get, Street, All Terrain, or 2-in-1?
Depends where you ride. Street if you're mostly on smooth pavement. All Terrain if you mix it up with grass, gravel, or beach paths. 2-in-1 if you want both options. The 2-in-1 is the most flexible but costs a bit more.
8. Is there a warranty?
Yes. Evolve covers manufacturing defects. Water damage and rider abuse aren't covered. For specifics, worth checking the Evolve help centre or asking the team directly.
9. How long does it take to charge?
Around 4 hours with the included 5A fast charger. Solid for an overnight charge or a mid-day top-up.
10. Is this board for beginners or more experienced riders?
It suits both, but it's a powerful board. New riders can start in ECO mode to ease in, but 50 km/h is fast and the power delivery is strong. If someone's completely new to eboards, starting on a Stoke X or GTR would be a smoother entry point. The Diablo Bamboo rewards riders who want to push it.
