Great upgrade from their previous remote
The Evolve Phaze Remote Bluetooth feels fantastic in your hands. Its solid metal construction gives it a premium feel with a nicely balanced weight, and both the acceleration and brake triggers respond buttery smooth. It’s a huge upgrade over their previous plastic remote.
There are a couple of minor adjustments to get used to. The power button is positioned differently than on the older remote, so your muscle memory will need a little time to adapt. Also, when the remote goes to sleep, I had to figure out that you need to press both the throttle and brake triggers at the same time to wake it up.
My only major observation is that, a few times while rushing to power on both the board and remote, the remote accidentally entered trigger adjustment mode and reset itself to the factory settings. I’m guessing I unintentionally pressed a certain trigger combination that caused it. When that happens, I have to recalibrate the trigger and disable the speed limiter again before riding.
